Parts Counterperson
Responsibilities:
Maintain effective inventory control system: understand the specs that determine weekly stock orders, stocking levels, phase in/phase out parameters, and obsolescence
Communicate effectively with Service and Sales depts. about availability of parts and any critical backorder situations
Follow up and expedite critical parts to ensure customer satisfaction
Work with the Service and Body Shop Managers to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs
Order and maintain parts inventory in stock room
Desired Qualifications:
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
- One year of supervisory experience
- Five years of experience in an automotive parts department
- Excellent communication and managerial skills
- Some sales experience
- Professional personal appearance
